The Alaska Department of Fish and Game provides periodic updates through webpages and recorded phone messages regarding sport and personal use fisheries throughout the state. These reports are typically updated on a weekly basis (or more frequently should conditions warrant it) from spring to fall and includes the latest available information concerning presently available species, waters open to fishing, and emergency orders. During the remainder of the year, reports are updated according to season only (every few months).
